French Flag for Companies No Longer Renewable from 2025

France no longer issues navigation licenses for vessels registered to foreign companies

Since 2025, the French Maritime authorities will no longer issue new navigation licenses for vessels registered to foreign companies, nor will they renew expired ones.
To switch to another flag, it is in any case necessary to request the cancellation of the French flag.
